DECT has witnessed a 50% increase in its usage by the beginning of 1999, more than 100 countries in the five continents had allocated frequencies for DECT applications, making DECT a truly worldwide standard. DECT is now a global technology accepted on all continents.
More than 32% of all wireless local loop lines installed during 1998 used DECT technology.
